Q: What are your rates?
A: Rates are quoted once specific details are described by the talent buyer (i.e. music for the actual ceremony, a second-line bras band parade, etc.) what or how they want the band to perform.
Q: What is your band attire?
A: Typically, our attire is all black suits or tuxedos; except for our female vocalists.
Q: How far would you travel for an event?
A: The Big Easy Groovers will travel to destinations in the Continental U.S. and abroad performing major jazz festivals and other private events once travel accommodations have been confirmed before departure from New Orleans Int’l Airport.
Q: What other types of music do you perform?
A: Our repertoire is always evolving as new music is being introduced daily. Our songlist touches on the music of the 1920’s to modern day tunes which includes Motown, 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s 80’s & 90’s.
Q: Does the band take breaks?
A: Yes. Typically, during a 3hr. engagement the band will take 2 15-min. break. Music is played by our sound engineer during the break period for music to be played for you and your guests.
Q: Can the band play longer than the contracted time schedule?
A: Yes- at an additional fee to be determined upon request
Q: Can we go to a local club to hear and see the band at a live performance?
A: Typically no because the majority of our venues are other private events or functions. The caliber of the musicians The Groovers employ have performed with notable music celebrities which has established us as one of the premier groups to perform exclusively in the private arena. Check our website periodically for listings where we may be performing for a special program at a local venue.
